People's Bank
The CWU is in the forefront of the campaign for a new Post Office People's Bank, a bank that can support and protect the post office network, fight financial exclusion, support small businesses and communities and be part of our fight back against the recession.
A comprehensive proposal for a new 'Post Bank' to run as part of the Post Office Network is launched on 17 March 2009 by a coalition of trade unions, a business organisation, pensioner and pressure groups and charities.
The Post Bank coalition launched two documents. The first presented the case for a post bank and the second document provided more detail on how this could happen.
